Reading between the lines, here's my take on what the author of the quiz may have been thinking on the 2 questions.

The idea behind not shooting slugs:

"shooting slugs puts tremendously more pressure on your barrel than what a load of shot does, so if you shoot slugs out off a smooth bore chronically it will eventually deteriorate the structure of your barrel and cause it to spiderweb."

I think the 10-gauge question should have read:

Given equal amounts of powder, A 10-gauge shotgun is more powerful than a 20-gauge shotgun.

I contacted the chief moderator of this forum, and he agreed not to penalize anyone on these 2 questions. In other words, it won't show up in your year's-end TFF report.

Don't worry, they don't even have the correct answers to some of their questions. Yes, a 10 gauge is more powerful than a 20 gauge.

I protest. I got about half way through and wasn't doing very well. Figured I would remember the ones I missed so I figured I'd restart and give it another try (with answers of course). The dang test wont drop my old answers. I'm pretty sure if I finished I'd be below 50.

This. ^^^^^^^ An ignoramus wrote this quiz.

Also wrong is the question can you shoot a slug from a smoothbore. The author of the quiz says no but I've killed several deer with slugs through a smoothbore and there's nothing unsafe about the practice of shooting slugs thru a smoothbore.

Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it.

I bet the author intended to type that a 10-gauge is more "popular" than a 20-gauge.

The slug question is debatable if the shotgun has a full choke:
