Ok this thread got me curious so went over to the bassmaster page, anyone see the bait he won on?! It says homemade spinnerbait but it looks like walmart promo spinnerbaits with a crappie jig trailer, that is just great
Watch live coverage. He was flipping. Where is it archived?

I was one of the camera boat drivers that followed him on Saturday. He was throwing a brush hog with dipped tail and the spinnerbaits. We actually started out following Combs and ended up in the same hole as Tommy. So with 2 camera boats and two anglers in the same small hole it was pretty tight. Tommy missed a good one flipping. And his co had 2 keepers flipping a crankbait, so Tommy was getting visibly nerved. So he left and said he was going up to where Hackney was. And we had been with Hackney the day before. He caught his biggest fish almost immediately arriving there with Greg. I had a still photographer so when we got up there there were 2 video boats, 1 still photographer boat, and two anglers. Very tight. They mostly just caught short fish from then on. Tommy was struggling with do I stay or do I go. Making that move at the end paid off as he was able to catch the keeper that won it for him at his last spot.
