Hi Y'all,
I bought a 2017 Nautic Star 1810 bay this year and have been trying to improve the livewell. It has a very simple livewell setup with just a drain/overflow pipe and a nozzle spray to fill. I plan to add a timer in the future but that is another matter completely. Right now, I have trying to fix 2 main issues.

Problem 1: The spray nozzle is below the halfway line of the livewell and is completely underwater whenever I fill up the livewell. I see that on other people's boats the spray nozzle is always at the very top, so I am a bit confused as to why the position of mine is so low. It makes a shrieking sound as I pump more water into it since it is submerged and and I think water is leaking out of it too. Here are some pictures:(I took the spray nozzle off for the pictures) Has anyone had similar problems and how should I fix it? I have attached pictures so everyone can understand what I mean.

Problem 2: The livewell intake doesn't work when the boat the running. My boat's intake in in the transom. I'd prefer to have fresh water for my fish/bait all the time. Is a adding the TH Marine EZ scoop high speed pickup the solution to this problem? Will it be installable on my boat? I have attached pictures.
Thanks so much for any help in advance!
Andy

For recirculating the spray nozzle needs to be above water line, for proper aeration to occur. For circulating then nozzle placement really doesn't matter to much as fresh water comes constantly. Here the drain needs to be able to keep up with the inflow as to not overfill the well. The ez scoop will work.

You can slap together some pvc in a vertical L shape to get your sprayer above the water line, as seen in the attached link.
