House was built in 74. About very year or two I have to snake the sewer. Would hydrojet be a better option, or will it cause other problems?

House was built in 74. About very year or two I have to snake the sewer. Would hydrojet be a better option, or will it cause other problems? We had it done and it was not worth the money and did not fix the problem...guy wanted to charge $300 to put a camera down the drain and then charge to fix whatever was the problem...after we spent $250 to have the hydrojet done. Had another plumbing company come out that was recommended by our insurance company, they fixed the problem within an hour.
