Interesting. I follow a site called City-Data and their Texas page has lots of Cali posts.

My one issue is them bringing their different ideas to Texas and screwing up the best State in the nation.

Of the top 5 states for transplants 2 are on our borders. A lot of the LA. transplants are leaving there because of hurricanes and a poorly run state. Okies for more job opportunities so it's a kinda economic no-brainer.

Can't fathom why people would be leaving Florida unless it's just too many New Yorkers and new jersey peeps moving to Fla.. New Yorkers are fleeing their state because of its poorly run status and the costs. Same for Cali except many are leaving because of certain social situations.

Why don't we ask some of the Cali transplants here why they chose Texas and would they go back to Cali under any circumstances.

I know a Cali transplant that got out because it was getting too crazy for him. He has strong conservative values. I would hazard a guess that a lot of the Cali refugees feel the same way as he does.

Cali transplants ruined my native born state of CO. Cali transplants have ruined OR. Cali transplants have ruined WA. Cali transplants have ruined NV. Cali transplants have ruined AZ. CA transplants are trying to ruin WY, UT, ID and MT. Given the chance Cali transplants will ruin TX.

You have been warned!

Got a good friend that moved from CA to Mineola a few years back. Retired LEO and a good guy.

I knew it! I tell people all of the time that I see more California plates than I have ever seen.

Talked to a friend from Florida yesterday, he said the state is being invaded by New Yorkers he says they are every where.

I was born in Texas and we moved to Cali in 1962 when I was 5 years old. We were there 28 years and we got to see the changes. The job my dad had closed the doors and transferred him to Reno Nv. in the mid 80's. They closed the doors on him there in Reno and in 1994 he said screw it, were selling everything and moving back to Texas. Growing up there in the west I had no idea how great Texas was until we drove into the state and a calming feeling fell upon me. I thought my God, why did we ever leave?? I love this place and wouldn't trade it for a million California's! Before we moved back my dad bought a 1992 Dodge pick up with the Cummin's diesel, his yearly registration was just under $600. That gives you an idea how expensive it is to live there, mind you that was 1992.

I don't know if all the Mr. Flag espouses is true, but I wouldn't be surprised.

It's probably very accurate.

Leave what brought you demise, then arrive in a new area, yet bring the same voting mentality!
Good grief.
