Excited to see Cox compete on the BPT. Ready for the Tour season to crank up! Hopefully all of the leagues get a full season of events on schedule.

Will Cox fish the 2021 Classic? BPT Starts on Rayburn during the classic. I guarantee he will fish the classic Doesn't he have to be registered to fish the 2021 Bass Master Elite Series to fish the Classic???... I know they make exceptions for the college guys, Federation, PVA qualifier but but I thought the "Pros" had to be registered to fish the Elite Series... Dan

This shows there is no real path to the BPT from the Pro Circuit. How do explain this decision to the other top guys ahead of Cox who only get an invitation to the first tournament? And do those guys now need to find more money for the entries? They won’t even know how many they might qualify for either.
It’s obvious BPT will be unwilling to knock out a big name pro from the bottom of the standings to promote lesser known guys in the Pro Circuit. They may even be as obvious as pick and choose when to boot the bottom 5 or 10 based upon who is there at the time. Unfortunately, The Pro Circuit is likely the ceiling for majority of those guys. If I not mistaken. The original plan was after 3 years the bottom 10 of BPT get booted. Then the top 10 from a 3 year average of the pro circuit get promoted. It hasn't been 3 years so it doesn't really matter how they pick and choose now. Lets see what they do after next year Yea, it wasnt a dick move at all, lol. You have a guy that fished and earned that 5th spot and you have a guy that skipped an event to fish the elites but since he has a bigger name he gets in. That's typical for them though

Seems we haven't heard from him in years. Lol, the last time all you cats were counting KVD out and saying he was done he went on a tear. I guess if you say it enough as he edges closer to retirement, one day you'll finally be right...

I was confusing current Classic and automatically qualifying to defend your crown the following year... Dan

These are replacement players. The drop 5 from the bottom of the BPT and replace with top 5 from the FLW is/was their 3 year plan.
These replacement players could have come from the highest ranked on the FLW/Pro Circuit regardless.
Then after next year they could do their drop and add per their "normal" plan.
I am sure MLF has their reasons but when the same group of anglers (FLW/Pro Circuit and Toyota) always get screwed it makes your wonder how man more screwings these guys are willing to take in trying to make this a paying career.
The BPT will need replacement players every year.
