Any top water action going on? Haven’t caught a smallmouth in my 52 years and planning on going next week. Any tips would be helpful. Thanks in advance

Troll a 8-10 foot driving crankbait with some chartreuse in it all day around rocks and you will catch one.

Be there at dawn and beat the rocks with a crankbait with yellow in it. Topwater is probably done with unless you catch the perfect day and I don't see that in the forecast.

I have done well all the way to thanksgiving with a spook as long as the water does not get below 60. I do better on clay, sand, and gravel points for small mouth. Like others have said, if you cant catch any on top pick up a squarebill and cover water.

Rocky areas or mud flats at first light with a 4" grub or hair jig. 5-10 feet of water.

Healed by Grace and trying to stay that way

Start at Perots house and go up the lake on the Texas side all the way up to the water intake tower

It will be all the rocks you want

This right here is your best bet. Going to run into a lot of people, but will also find some smallmouth along the way.

I threw a repo-man bunches and didn't get a sniff, they wanted something sub-surface

Drag the main lake shoreline with a craw in 10-15 ft and hold on. Especially along the bank with the giant slabs of rock. You'll known them when you see em.
