Which is easier to see stumps, fish, objects etc? I've been told a bigger screen is better but the 8610 has higher resolution. Has anyone compared these two to see which screen is easier to see stuff on side view and livescope?

You might want to include the 1243xsv in the mix as it should be out very soon. It should have a screen very similar to the 86x from what I am reading.

On youtube, go to "Ken Smith Fishing". He has a video on Garmin, he did a few weeks ago that will answer your questions.

The 86 series have more resolution than live can be displayed at wasting your money. Buy a 12” unit. I like The non touch.
