I paid my way and my kids way through college and now they want student loans to be dropped. 59 members of Congress will have their loans erased. What a way to get out of debt.

They MIGHT convince me that is a good idea. However, IMO, it should only be for STEM students, with an actual degree. They have to be US citizens, no DACA, no foreign students, nothing for them.

They have to be US citizens, no DACA, no foreign students, nothing for them. .... and only tuition, books, fees - no freeloaders reimbursed for fancy college housing, loan reimbursed only after graduating.

We paid for my wife cash as she went, she graduated debt free, how do we get paid in this ?

I can't believe this is even being discussed. Nonsense. Closest thing I would support would be some sort of work program where they could get forgiveness for the loan. Wait that, already exits, the US military! Otherwise, you spent it, you pay it back.
