Judge Roy Bean and Bob Wills are distant relatives Judge Roy Bean was my Great Great (and maybe another Great - it's confusing) Uncle. My maternal grandmother was his niece. Mike Huckabee on Fox News and former Governor of Arkansas is my cousin. Played poker with Willie Nelson and from talking to him we may be distantly related. Haven't taken the time to dig into it to find out for sure, but we have some relatives with the same names, just not sure if they're the same people.

No one in my family. But the lady that plays and sings with me in my band does. Her son and daughter in law are pretty famous Country song writers and performers. Her son has sang on stage with Emmy Lou, Patti Loveless, Vince Gill, and many more. He wrote Whiskey Lullaby for Brad Paisley. Her daughter in law wrote many songs for Blake Shelton and she has her own album out. That's as close as I've come to famous people.

and according to my paternal grandmother I am related to sequoiah. I have no proof of it though. grandfather born in what is now platt natl. park in Okieland, you can still see the rock foundation of the house from the hiway. grandmother was not known to be a liar althougth she was a beetch.
