Dangerous lake to run if you don’t know where your going. Do not head up lake, left as your idling away from the ramp, on pad. You kinda have to run straight out from the ramp most of the way across then turn right. I usually idle from the ramp to where I turn right and then put it on pad. There are still stumps to avoid going that way but not nearly as bad. If you want to go left just idle, doesn’t take very long to get up there.

Giant high spot mid lake and good bunch of stumps all over the lake
Bring a 1-2oz punch weight, big line and some Advil.

Idle out farther than you'd think out of any cove or cut....your lower unit will thank you.

Someone posted a "map" not too long ago which had the boat run areas (not really lanes) marked. Do a search and you should be able to find it. These "lanes" change as the water level changes. I have stumps marked on GPS the are not a problem when the water is up but drop several feet and they are a concern. Like the "lane" that goes north (left out of the ramp area) along the east shore. When the lake is five feet low there are some BAD stumps that can cause some serious lower unit issues.
Also trim up at the ramp area. Water is low enough that you could suck sand and gravel into your engine potentially blocking open a thermostat causing a problem.. Happened to a buddy this past weekend.

Was out there day before yesterday and started on the south end and it was a a grind. Caught a few punching grass. Then I ran up North and got into some schoolies and wacked em pretty good.

Sounds like the best advice would be to float ur boat off the trailer and then put the trolling motor down and go from there. Lol

Lol Years ago when it was the "other" power plant lake and Monti was king, I used to fish Welsh from my little buster boat and kill them. Dropping the TM at the ramp and fishing your way North from there is not a bad strategy!
See you on the lake and have a great day!

13’ or less is all grass. Look for the key areas and get to punching.

Yea, if you don't fish grass a lot, probably not the lake for you. I'm heading out there again tomorrow, so we'll see how it goes.
