I love something about many, many towns/areas, but Iโm living in my favorite small town right now- Is it because you have me so close?

Lol- I was telling the guys at lunch how we lived close but never have driveway beers or lunch- We should hit the Bristol store sometime and I can not eat sushi with you-
What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

Gun Barrel City. They just voted down an effort to review an ad valorem tax (they have 0). They basically have no police, no fire, and no road improvement money. The locals say they have one officer at night and one fireman to go on alarms. Apparently Walmart, fast food joints, and Loews canโt collect enough sales tax to fund a city.
