I know at least some of you like reading about chasing big bass at private lakes. I like to experiment with new things so I contacted Andrew HInkle in Cali and asked him to build a couple 8" Gizzard Shad Glide Baits for me. HInkle's glide baits are legendary all over the country and have landed some of the biggest bass evr caught on a rod & reel. They are 6.5 oz each.

HInkle does not paint them so once you get them you have to find someone to paint them. A friend of mine in Fla that is a big bait guru gave me the name of a guy in Indiana that paints baits. So the process takes about 3-4 months from start to finish.

And before someone makes the comment about "Need" let me remind you, there is nothing on this entire website that has anything to do with "Need". It is all about "Want"

I could not fish with them things, or an a rig, big baits don’t equal big bass in my experience, my biggest a 12 pounder came on a tiny torpedo

Actually no, I've had 3 pounders eat a bait this size.

I hope one twice that size eats it....and that's all!

I see you have the addiction. I would be really surprised if the big trout baits wouldnt work in there now.
