[quote=Mayo] The breakaway tongue on Cats doesn't extend past the nose of the boat, unlike most other manufactures.
Yes...in MOST cases. I've also been looking for a 20' boat that will fit in one bay of my garage and also narrowed it down to either a Caracal or an Eyra. Eyra is going to win out because A) it's faster, and B) I can put a 250 or 300 on it. However, not ALL Basscat tongues fold in equal to the nose. I went to look at an '18 Cougar this morning who swore it would store at 22'4". When he unhooked it from the trailer I told him to look at the tongue. 4" beyond the nose of the boat. Won't fit. Eyra is the one. And it's fast enough for me!
Very interesting... I thought they all were inside of the nose. You'll love the Eyra!!! Congrats!!! Since we're sharing pictures, let me share a few of mine... ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/11/full-33154-72606-img_6715.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/11/full-33154-72607-img_7496.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/11/full-33154-72608-img_7757.jpg)

I’m calling BS on the 2100# Gambler running 82 with a stock Yam 250 SHO with a 27 pitch prop. The numbers don’t add up. I really like Gamblers and Yams. I’ve owned two Gamblers over the years. They are relatively fast hulls for their weight but not as fast as the Bullets and not even close to the Ally’s. Add a 1 in front of the 4.86% of slip for a 2100# Hull, no matter the brand and that’ll be more realistic. ![[Linked Image]](https://texasfishingforum.com/forums/pics/userpics/2020/11/full-19947-72656-98a313a3_ef9d_4374_94a5_a3a1b7c3cfc9.jpeg)

Mine is an inter-costal model so it is approximately 180lbs heavier than the carpeted model according to the manufacturer.

My 17.5' 361v hits 60, that's fast enough for me. It has been up to 75, but that is on the Interstate.
