There goes another $3500 or so and the earlier 2020's latest and greatest fell off the leader board. But that's the nature of the fish finder business. Garmin, Lowrance do the same thing. I developed the attitude to keep and use my stuff until it either breaks/have problems, or the technology changes so drastically it might be just worth it. In my case this year, I lucked out and both things happened for me. If my graph that was acting up could have got repaired I probably would have gone that route instead of upgrading my whole system.

These things are starting to be like iPhones or computers buy now and update in 6months. Wish they’d put there eggs in one basket and be done for awhile.

Only difference from 3 to G4N is the additional plug for nema 2k. The G3N will run the live also. Same processor in both. Only ones that got new processor was the G3 Solix

Ive updated my units each time 1,2,3rd gen helix hoping its until 6 that I need to update again! Curious how their live compares to my garmins.

Putting it all out there at once doesnt make a ton of money. "Making" you buy new units every other year makes a butt load. Kind of like Chevy, they wont release all the bells and whistles and motor options on a first year truck. They add a little more every year to get people to trade up.

Are you sure about G3N supporting Mega Live because Russel Marine has clearly stated in their FB pages that G3N will NOT support Mega Live!
