I am curious if there are any walmart, target, sam's, etc employees on here. I am curious if national retailers have given instruction to employees on what to do in the case that looting begins. Are they told to leave, go to the back, what? Obviously they aren't being told to defend the store, rightfully so, but what are they suppose to do?

Seriously, what are they told to do? That would be a terrible situation to be in.

most likely to head out the back door.
the back doesn't have any secure area, an office and a lot of open storage area is all it is.

All big box store employees have been told to immediately head to the nearest Walmark, except Walmark employees, because they are already at the nearest Walmark. Walmark employees off the schedule (e.g. not at work) have the option of donning the smock and going in.

I worked in retail 20+ years ago and I know you go to one of the big walk in coolers in the back for tornado warnings.
I'm curious what they're directed to do for the looting situations.

No. All freezers and coolers are overstocked with Thanksgiving paraphernalia, they can’t protect people right now. The miscreants know this, that’s why they’re going looting this time of year.

Are those the Chinese knockoffs of a come and take it flag? Or, instead of a cannon, do the come and get it flags have a chuck wagon style dinner bell on them?

They’re not going to be open if there are protests or riots in the area. And no, Walmart is not going to have armed employees in the store. The liability is too great and they have insurance (although they shouldn’t have to use it because idiots can’t act right and not loot and destroy).

The protests are happening mostly in inner cities. I doubt downtown Philly has a Walmart. But I doubt even more that Walmart would allow one of its stores to be caught with employees and customers in one of these protests/riots.

Wal Mart hires a lot of off duty LEOs to work security. They are in their departmental uniforms and usually have tgeir patrol car parjed out front.
