I finally got a boat to start fishing the local lakes. I’m going to Lake Bastrop in a couple of days and was wondering if anyone had advice on catfish for that lake. Channel cat or where to drift for some big blues. I don’t have any electronics on the boat yet so any help will be very much appreciated.

Show respect to other boats, enjoy every day and every bite on the water you never know when it’s going to be the last.
Keep a tight line and hook baited can’t catch ‘em on credit.

Haven’t been on in awhile, but I stop fishing bastrop lake cause I never found or caught any blues there, I could be wrong but my experience haven’t caught any blues. Go to Somerville lake, it’s about 30-40 mins from bastrop
