I have a black max3 combo that is a 6 ft 6 in med action and i have 10 lb test spooled on it with a slip float set up my question is this too heavy for crappie on will it work fine ill be using it with live minnows on a bridge hopefully soon in the future

It is not ideal but it will work. My dad used a baitcaster with 17lb test and a double minnow rig. He used this set up for everything other than spawning crappie. He chased crappie until his death at age 88.

I'm assuming you're on foot with that setup. 6'6" is a great length for casting. Nothing wrong with the brand if it does it's job. Slip bobbers are good for fishing under bridges from the bank. 10lb mono might be a bit too much, but it might not bother them. The diameter of 6lb mono is as big as I like to go. I've caught them on medium action while jigging. With a minnow and bobber the action won't matter.
