I am not a Kap or BLM fan by any stretch of the word, but I do have a raunchy, passionate, ongoing affair with the TRUTH. Many insist Kap was never a good QB. False. The facts: 1) Kap has been a good QB. When the 2019 season began, he held the 18th highest passer rating in NFL HISTORY, ahead of Marino, Favre, Aikman, and many others. Yes, I realize passer rating doesn't fully define a QB and would not claim Kap is above Favre, but one doesn't achieve that stat without being good, period, end of story. He's now 24th after other active QBs inched up the list. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pass_rating_career_2018.htm2) Even in his final season in which he went 1-10 as a starter, the primary tua culpa spewed by his detractors, he played quite well, putting up a passer rating over 90. He was on a team with terrible O and D lines, worse RB's and WR's, a D that gave up over 300 yards rushing in one game, and a one-and-done coach. The QB position was the lone bright spot on that awful team and putting up a high passer rating in that situation is a truly remarkable and maybe unparalleled QB achievement. I challenge anyone to find an equivalent. 3) When you go to Lambeau and boot Aaron Rogers outta the playoffs set any significant all-time records for performance at your position, go 4-2 in the playoffs, and reach 2 NFCC games and 1 SB, you're a good player. It's odd that some of our rubiest rubes get so worked up over how a stranger reacts to a song that they actually construct an alternative reality in which to rage and pout. Why would anyone be upset by that? How painfully silly can ya get? No tellin' how someone out of the game for a while will do now, sure, but many players have returned after a long absence and done well. I expect he'd be better than Dalton, that third string guy, or anyone else available. Whether or not it's a good business decision to bring a controversial, aging player into the fold is another question. I'd certainly not do it lightly, but many fans already back him, many of the others get a real short memory if he makes the team gets better, many don't really care, and the nervous kooks of the bunch can go pound sand if the guy delivers a good enough workout and interview. Again, this is primarily a response to those who absurdly claim Kap was NEVER a good QB. It nicely illustratiates how many people allow their sociopolitical filters to color their whole world, making them miss much. Is it really time to call Kap? Beats me, but the crop of available QBs is pretty flaky, Dalton is not playing well, and it may be a few weeks before he even remembers he's Irish. I don't care if the Boys win unless I picked 'em to win. I don't allow myself to be influenced by agendas, parties, etc. I simply look at things as they are and dig for the truth. It's worth mentioning, though, that the Cowboys D is so flat and uninspired that one wonders if Joe Montana and a time machine would be able to change the team's plunge. Were I Kap, or anyone else, and they called, I'd hang up on 'em unless a dire $ situation was afoot. I picked these guys to go to the SB this year. They sure made a big chump out of me.

He wore socks with police officers depicted as pigs on them during practice. He’s done.
