Glad u could join 2020 finally. Thanks LOL Have you been to an academy since covid? The zoom section is wiped out and they can't keep production up with sales, go look at a gun counter too, empty. Guns and ammo have a lot more to do with the uncertain political state of our country than it does with Covid……….. I also wonder just how much of the stuff we buy comes from overseas, which also adds to the lack of availability. Zoom is made in Georgia Knew this. I was talking about some of the terminal tackle that seems to be in shortage.

My Academy actually has a bunch of Zoom products in stock. I'm down to about 50-60 bags of brush hogs so I better stock up before any of ya'll think of making a road trip.

I went to Tackle Warehouse and most of Old Monsters are OUT, Also Mag 2's are mostly gone too. My local tackle shop said he bought all of the last Blue Fleck Old Monsters that was available and can't get anymore. Wow, what is going on ? Looks like TW has a lot of Zoom products slated to come in around November 11th.

Don’t get your hopes up on the arrival dates, Zoom and some other brands have had the arrival dates moved 14 days out each time their shipment doesn’t arrive. Some of the trick worms I fish haven’t been available since August. Sign of the times

I went shopping a couple of times this year on the Tacklewarehouse website and they were out of almost all the popular colors and sizes in all major brands. Like as said COVID. I was able to run up to Brannon's in Powderly and get a lot of what I needed, but they were low or out of a lot of stuff too.

I'm a Super Fluke and Creepy Crawler fanatic, so I keep my eye on the Zoom scene.
I think the fit and finish, for lack a better term, of the baits has declined a bit. They seem to be a bit sloppy coming out of the molds compared to, say, 20 years ago.
I used to work in the biz and interacted with the Queso Grande at Zoom, a very nice chap named Chambers I think it was, many times. The success they managed without having to plaster the world with overwrought advertising was most impressive.

I don't think what's happening to Zoom is any different from what's happening to other lure manufacturers. Production facilities were shut down for weeks, and when they opened back up they probably took a while to get back up to speed as they adjusted to covid precautions. Plus, people spent more time fishing this spring during the stay-at-home period so they probably went through tackle faster than normal. Increase in demand with a big interruption in production led to the shortages we're seeing now. It's happening with sonar units, electronics, engines, rods/reels, and most tackle makers, not just Zoom. That said, Zoom's shortages may be more difficult to rebound from since every mom & pop bait shop plus the major retailers in the US each have a wall full of Zoom stuff to restock. Outdoordude is spot on. Covid has reduced or even shut down production with some. Also much of our tackle is made in Asia and shipped to the US. Many of these ships are being denied entry into the US due to the virus just as cruise ships sat for weeks waiting on US Customs to allow them into ports. Online stores are your best bet right now as most stores that sell tackle are stripped nearly bare. My local Academy's and BassPro Shops isles look like they are going out of business they are so bare. Terminal tackle is probably the hardest stuff to find right now.
