Did anyone hear about a boating accident in East Texas yesterday in which there was a death? My SIL in Odessa messaged me that her ex-husband's son was killed in a boating accident in East Texas.

Thanks Has Ben. That is the young man I was asking about. They have his name wrong. It's Chad instead of Chat but that's it. Tragic for the family. His Dad is still a friend and a very good guy. Prayers for the family

That's awful. Friend of mine at work just lost a 22 year old daughter in a car accident yesterday. I lost my 97 year old grandma on Wednesday. Been a tough week.

It's sad these terrible things happen so senselessly. How many times do we have to read of these tragedies before the simple sensibility of kill switches and PFDs sinks in? ...even with regulations aside. Is it somehow a show of masculinity to skip on safety, or something else?

To comply with the new law , I attached a clamp to my kill switch, large alligator clamp. I clamp it to the lanyard on my TM remote while underway. When I stop , I clamp it to the ignition key, This reminds me to attach it before I start the motor.

Kill switches do save lives.

Prayers out to the young man’s family.
