Had a general claim question. If there are any Allstate agents that would know if we file a claim on damages if it will make the rates go up. Had a nasty blowout. Tire blew out and blew through the fender and gouged the boat. Ruined the fender and bracket and got into the side of the boat. Its a easy loader aluminum trailer and skeeter fiberglass boat.

I have Markle Insurance which is not Allstate, but I have had two blowouts and ruined fenders on my Ranger. Caused by internal tread separation running Chinese junk tires. They paid the difference what the tire manufacture paid and did not raise my rates. So since your damage was a result of something that could be considered out of your control, they might not raise your rates. Just call your agent and ask what will happen before you file the claim.

Same thing happened on my ez loader on my Skeeter. I also have Allstate. They paid for the tow, trailer, trailer repairs, tires, and I still have an open claim on the boat. They are great. And no, I didn’t incur a price increase. Have them for my house too. Had a roof replaced, Allstate paid for an upgraded roof, then sent me a premium refund...since my home owners rate decreased with the newer style roof. I’ve been 100% satisfied.
