 Ultrex Link Upgrade?

Has anyone upgraded a non-Link Ultrex to Link? I just learned today that this may be possible.....

I think most people who buy the non linked version do not run HB graphs. Most people who buy the linked version have HB graphs already. I currently have a non linked Ultrex. I was running Lowrance units when I bought it. I just replaced my Lowrance units with Garmins. I gave the HB's a look over and was told I could upgrade the my Ultrex to a linked version. So I think it can be done. If I had bought the HB's I would have upgraded.

I have the Ultrexx and a Helix 8. How do I tell if they are linked? Still trying to figure out all the features.

Not trying to be a smart you know what, but the the remote with the Ultrex that comes with the linked version is different than the non linked remote. Also the Helix 8 operations manual should tell you how to link them as well.

Several ways, if there is an ethernet cable coming out of the head of trolling motor. The accessory screen will show I pilot link connected when motor is hooked up. To check and see if you have the I pilot link motor just look at the top of trolling motor head, it will have I pilot link on it

I just upgraded mine. Very easy to do but, the connector is very hard to pull apart and reseat.
