The only advantage to the 26hp is they have different emission standards and you can escape the regen anti-pollution which blows. Otherwise Kubotas are the best tractors on the market IMO.

That is what is drawing me to Kubota. I have looked at used but the 0% for 84 is hard to pass up.

I have watched a few of his videos. Good stuff.

I bought a Kubota L3200 about 5 years ago and love it.

Lots of real good used Kubota tractors out there with low hours.

I think you will be surprised how much tractor you need to clear. If just moving small amounts of dirt and mowing that choice is probably going to work fine.

Just go rent a skid steer a couple times and save your money on the mini tractor.

You won't be able to clear much with that size tractor. I also agree with the skid steer for clearing.

Seriously, check out the Kioti CK 2610. More tractor for your buck. FEL lifts more, hydraulics pump more, fuel tank is not directly over the engine, the air ride seat is phenominal, quick attach is standard (not extra)...just more bang for your buck all around. Also, get the 3 point extention arms. Dealer talked me into it and absolutley worth the money.

The Kubota 2601 was my second choice and what I was looking at the most. Then a good friend told me to at least check into the stats between them, and it went from there. I ended up buying the Kioti and havent looked back. Just waiting on my grapple and post hole digger to arrive.

I did the same thing about 4 years ago. Bought an acre water front lot on Lake Corpus Christi that had never been cleared. So picked up a Kubota BX2370 used and worked that land for just over a year. It got the job done, but they are pretty light duty. Neighbor next door made me an offer I couldn't refuse so I no longer have the lake lot, but can't seem to part way with the Kubota. Having worked for John Deere and a large Corporate farm back in college, I have operated almost every tractor John Deere made in the 90's, from 70 to 400 horse power. With the little Kubota, you just have to take small bites. They will not pick up 1000 pounds with the bucket, they won't plow at all with the hydrostatic trans, but they don't give up. Kubota is a great tractor, sometimes I just drive my down the road with a cold beer and re-live my real tractor days!!

This. I bought the same model used. Put almost 2000 hours on it. Beat it to hell and sold it for $500 more than I bought it for. If I can't tear it up, it's indestructible.

If your acreage is heavily wooded, I sure wouldn't buy anything less than this tractor. It'll clear pretty well but not as good as skid steer. We love this tractor and it'll do about anything you need done with the right attachments. It's a 53hp, I believe.

Also keep in mind, Cast has a real nice old school Deere for sale. Look in the classifieds. It's one that was made before they went to crapola.

If you do clearing you definitely want a cage. It will save you lots of blood.

When I bought my Kubota, they recommended the size of the tractor based on the acreage it will be used on. I have about 2 acres, so they recommended the B7510 (21 h.p.). Regardless which size of tractor, I HIGHLY recommend a FEL. The FEL will help in lifting, and if you do most of the work by yourself, you will not regret getting the FEL. Of all of the attachments I got, the FEL is the most valuable.
If they still use acreage to determine the best size of tractor, that may be a little small. But it is worth talking to a salesman to verify that.
I use my to garden, so I got a PTO driven tiller, and bedder (row maker) attachment.
I compare to having a tractor like having a truck. Now that I have had one, I hope not be to without one.

Also, if youre getting the grapple, have the 3rd function installed at the dealer. If it screws up, its on them.

And no matter what you get, you're going to love it. I thought it was going to be fun and adventure. Seems a lot more like work to me.
