I moved thus need to change my address on my drivers license. Well it won't let me do mine online. The next appointment I could make at the DPS is 4/10/2021. That's just stupid.

Thought you only had 30 days to do that? Is it currently expired or close to renewal date?

State offices are a mess right now. I just had to renew my liquor permit and had to call with a question. Austin closed, ftw worth where I am referred me to wichita falls which is a one person office who also does enforcement so he is rarely there. He seems to he the only person in the whole state who can help with online renewal issues. 3 days to get return phone call. Issue was resolved and they are running 2 months behind in printing new permits...... The whole state a giant department and the only one person can answer questions and help...... I guess they are social distancing from work.

Mine expired in June.
If you look at DPS website, it states that you have up to two years to renew. Then I got a letter from DPS/Abbott that said I had 30 days.
I have been asked for ID numerous times(banking, investments, vehicle inspection/license plate renewal) and I have told all of them that the license is expired. All said no problem as they all realize that Covid2020 sucks.

Several City offices are in shambles as well. We are doing several self inspections and documenting them as well at the City's request. Crazy times!

I just don't get why I couldn't do it online like my wife could. It's just an address change. I just did my LTC and it took 2min.

Try different DPS offices around you. The redhead and I had to get our ID's updated with the TSA yellow star crapola. The Lewisville office next appointment was in January 2021, but the Denton office had appointments available almost immediately.
