 Quick Pre Front Report. Guadalupe River !

Fished the Guadalupe River Pre Front Thursday 10-16. Was with friends Jeff and Steve. We targeted crappie but caught some nice Bluegill and Redear also. We fished from 8am till 3pm and caught around 75 fish. Most were crappie. All fish were caught on various types of jigs. Chartreuse/Black and Chartreuse/Pink got the best results. Most fish were caught on marked brush piles in 16 to 20 feet of water. We also found some nice Bluegill under overhanging tree limbs in 10 to 14 feet of water. Caught most of our fish between 10am and 12 noon. After 12 noon the bite slowed down. Boat traffic was very light. Only saw two other boats and both were bass fishing. Got a feeling this cold front will be turning on a lot of fish the next few days. All fish were released. Always love fishing the Guadalupe River.
