Never been there but going in a couple of weeks. Fishing out of Lake Murval Marina and was wondering how to run around on the lake. Is the end down by the spillway clear for running or do you have to take it easy all over the lake. Thinking about fishing on the opposite side of the lake across from the marina and was wondering if it is sfe to cross in that area as well. Thanks

If no one sees it here go over to the Crappie section and ask. There are a couple guys that fish it very regularly over there.

Murvaul Marina once you clear the marina islands. There IS a small high spot 1/2 mile due south of the marina you'll avoid (or maybe fish!). The lake is less than 4,000 acres, 95% full as we speak, and basically runs E and W. If you run west (upstream) there's big bad timber (mostly underwater) that starts about a mile & a half W of the dam. If you decide to run further west through flooded timber you have to follow boat lanes. Map with boat lanes will be your friend. If you run all the way to FM 1971 bridge, idle only W of bridge! Have fished Murvaul many, many times but not lately ... so others may be able to chime in with current instructions/boat lane markers. Good luck!
