I saw that yesterday. He did handle it well except as many rocks as there were on that trail. I don't know why he was chunking like Nolan Ryan.

I thought the same thing about the rocks but then I thought, heck what if he clocks him with one and that's what sets the cat off? Guy probably had a billion thoughts run through his mind in those 6 minutes. Scary.

Glad he made it out of there ok. But that shows how soft we humans really are.

Adults don't need to be running or jogging. You either mess your knees up, get bit by a dog, get hit by a car, or cross paths with wild animals.

I guess the bottom line is that he survived so in this situation what he did or didn’t do was the right thing for him-

I would have beat the hell out of that cat.

I was thinking about if he should start chunking rocks too. Would bending over to pick up a rock possibly trigger the cougar the same way as if you turned and ran? Who knows.
