Our first wade was on the reefs throwing DSL’s magic grass, then about an hour after sunrise the wind cranked up. So we decided to go hit some new areas with the high water. After catching some dink trout and just a couple keepers we moved on.
Mid day around the minor feed period we positioned ourselves on a windward bank of sand/grass. This proved to be the ticket, and armed with DSL’s color x and strawberry wine super models, was zble to plant our feed. We landed several trout in the 18-21” range, and had a missed opportunity with a 5-6 pounder. It was a great way to cap off the day with some new clients.
The next few days are going to get a little dicey for the annual CCA Mid-Coast Chapter Guides Cup. But, we’ll see what we can do.
