Not really advice, just an observation:
Your wife will not start an argument with you if you are cleaning.

Pretty sure mine would. The other night she ran to Target so I cooked dinner, had it waiting, cleaned the kitchen, started some laundry, put the dry clothes on the couch to fold later. As soon as she walked in the door, she said, really? You're just going to leave the clothes on the couch? I just went to bed.
Here's some marriage advice - Don't do it.

Since retiring at the end of March, I have committed this acronym to memory when dealing with the spousal unit. STFU and move forward with the day. 
Keep looking forward. Thatโs why windshields are larger than rear view mirrors.

Addendum: Never married, no kids, live alone, I'm still amazed at what "wives" get away with because husbands allow it.

Marriage license should be renewed like hunting and fishing license...... Just let them expire if you don't want to participate anymore.
Just want to make folks smile, and spit coffee on their keyboard.
If you put beans in your chili, you don't know beans about chili.
God doesn't create temporary people, you will spend eternity somewhere. Choose wisely.
