I keep an old 6' heavy action Allstar pistol grip in the BassCat 24/7/365. It's spooled up with 20# fireline and a 3/8 oz. chartreuse/white spinnerbait tied on. It's caught hundreds of fish over the years including 3 double digits. Amazin the places you can put a spinnerbait with a short pistol grip.

Same here, keep one spooled up for small spinnerbait. Sometimes I can get it in to places that I can't with other rods

My father-in-law still has and fishes with pistol grip Browning Boron rods. He’s 70 and can still catch’em!

I had Kevin Smith at Shamrock Rods build my son two this year for his birthday. We use them in our Bass Ponds all the time.

Wow, a pistol grip... Might have to do some wrist exercises to strengthen the forearm... Dan laugh

I still use one for spinnerbaits and another one for shallow and square lip crankbaits.

Last time I checked, AllStar still had a couple in their catalog. When I need another one, I buy a 6' MH or H action straight grip, remove the cork, order the pre-formed pistol grip cork from Mudhole and fit it to the rod. You end up with a 5'10" spinnerbait chunking machine. The one currently in the boat was an AllStar 6' BCH straight grip.
