Backed over a small stump out in the woods and bent my side outlet tailpipe at the exhaust hanger so the pipe now sticks out a few inches further than the tire.

Any suggestions on how to bend it back?

I was thinking maybe a ratchet strap and a blowtorch.

I have no idea what a muffler shop would charge. Any muffler guys in the OT?

I bent a tailpipe once. Used a piece of wood stuffed inside it to bend it back.

Just cut off what sticks out past the tire.

Not a bad idea. By hand or wedge it against a big tree and drive?

You can use a wooden broom handle to put inside and slowly bend it back...ideally you do this after driving a distance. Warm metal is more playable.

It was by hand with a fairly thick dowel rod (like a closet rod). This was on a crappy car. No style points but didnt look terrible.
