Planning the 20mi trip here pretty soon, and would like to catch some LMB. We've always done halfway decent with flukes and senkos, but has anyone been hammering them on anything else? Zero chance of using live bait on this trip. but I'd love to try that one of these days. Shoot me a PM if you like.

Many thanks!

We usually make that trip in late October, haven’t went since last spring-
Good luck when you are able to make the trip-

We're trying to get everyone's schedule worked out to make a trip mid to end of Oct as well. Never done that trip in the fall as we're usually hunting but we're really wanting to make it happen.

Well we went this past weekend 10/03 and had a good time. Flow out of PK shows 117. We were on the river before 9am Saturday and it was already getting busy. Bass fishing was super random, there were places where fish were right on the bank or right tight on some type of structure then you’d catch a nice one 20’ off the bank 2’ off the bottom. Only thing that was consistent was baits, I Carolina rigged a senko with a 8th oz weight and threw a white spinner bait in several places, and caught nice fish on both. One of the other guys was wacky worming senkos and did equally good as well. White spinnerbait in rapids was a guarantee fish or two.

All of our bigger fish were caught past mile 13, we attributed it to fishing pressure, however one of the guys said he saw what he thought was a 9lb within the first mile.

Hopefully we get some more rain out NW of PK and they open up the flow a bit more. They all but shut it down yesterday AM.

Here's a page to see what is going on with flow rates.
