Took a trip to Lake mathis this weekend and met our oldest daughter and her beautiful family there. Friday we caught a white bass an aligator gar and a spotted gar.

Saturday we celebrated our granddaughters birthday. SIL grilled for us and we also had b-day cake. After munching we headed back to the peir. Granddaughter caught her first gasper gou, she was so excited.

We had a great weekend with family. On the way home we stopped at the Derby Dam and fished the puddles. We caught a couple of lmb to end our fishing trip.

Gar1970 has been fishing there for 30 years and this was the first bass he has caught there.

All fish were released to swim another day except for the alligator gar. We gave him to a couple that were fishing next to us on the peir.
