It’s definitely the second part you mentioned more than the first part, but it’s ugly no matter what. Even the guys actually on the field suck.

It’s definitely the second part you mentioned more than the first part, but it’s ugly no matter what. Even the guys actually on the field suck. I haven't watched this year, but last year was a continuation from the 2-3 years before that of the on-field product just going downhill. I don't know if it's the lack of hitting in practice or defenses getting better or what, but the game just isn't the same quality that it was 5-10-15 years ago IMHO. Maybe that's just my perception, but I've heard others say they feel the same. Wish I could put my finger on why...

They didn’t upgrade at key positions, like OL, and they’re receivers just fell off the map. Guys just kept getting hurt, and they fired the entire medical staff. This is the first year with a new medical staff, but guys are still getting banged up. I think the lack of preseason this year didn’t help, but the aging of OL and DL guys is a major factor. The WR core should be better, but they’re still banged up, and Wentz didn’t get a lot of practice time with them, but Wentz has sucked bad this year. Add the OL issues, new receiving group and it’s been a disaster. They won tonight because SF is also banged up and Girapalo didn’t play. Eagles defense made plays finally, but the SF backup sucked. Eagles lost coaches too, which has exposed Pederson. It’s just a disaster. First place in the East but it won’t (and shouldn’t) last, because they don’t deserve it and aren’t healthy. It’s just a weird year all around the league. I think the NFL in general has a watered down product, and I’m not sure why either, to your point.
