Looking to replace about 32 stepping stone with medium size flagstone. 1.5" thick I would guess. Would also like to cover a 6x8' area. Any idea how much weight that is?
And who is the cheapest in the Denton Co area? I did see a sign off 1385 that said $125 per ton. That seems cheap.

Call Caprock or Golden Tree in Lewisville. Tell them what you are doing and they will estimate it for you. Will have to figure in a bunch of waste. Flagstone likes to break apart and some pieces just aren't usable.
125 does seem on the cheaper side. I always thought it was about 8-10cents/lb. But it has been a while since I've bought some partly because I've had so much left over through the years we are still picking through my leftovers.

B & B Stone in Sanger if that's close to you. Super nice guy with reasonable prices. I use him when my jobs are up that way. Alpine Materials in Southlake off Brumlow Ave.. Awesome selection of stone and other material. Not the cheapest but definitely the best selection. You should be able to get all that done with 1.5 tons of 1+ flagstone. Look at the flagstone slabs for the 6x8 area. Huge pieces but you better have help moving them or machinery. They cost more per ton also.

Going through this too.. DFW Stone on 121 had better looking stone and more availability than caprock and the tree place across the street from DFW Stone. Prices for 1.5' have been 235-250 per ton. I am needing 1.5 ish ton for my project.

which yards? I am looking all over for the stone color she likes and sizes coupled with the best deal. Likely will get 1.5-2 tons.

Oldcastle what was once Custom Stone Supply off Joe Field road in Dallas has a good selection of stone. OldcastleThe biggest yard for selection is Whiz-Q off SE Loop 820. Their yard is huge Whiz-Q Stone
