 Guides in Port A/Corpus?

I am planning a redfish trip for 12 guys in Port A/Corpus in early November. We have fished out of Port A before. However, this time, we are staying near the causeway in the canals off Whitecap (Park Rd 22 and 361). Should we hire guides near there, or is it worth the drive up to Port A?
