I rarely peg my weight, if I am fishing grass or very dense brush and cat tails I will peg it. This

I used the bobber stops some but I think I like the Peg it better. Just because I can push the weight up the line a few inches and it stays put. Almost like a Carolina rig.

Never peg. The sliding weight will make a click to help attract the fish.

On light weight Texas rigs I like to use two bobber stops, one in front and one in back of the weight so I can slide the weight up if I want to use a sort of a light weight Carolina rig for a different presentation.
