When I was planning my Minneapolis to Albany (Ga.) trip several years ago,one of my main concerns was having to cross 31 miles of Mobile Bay....first picture is entering the bay at mouth of the river,.....as you can imagine,having to cross all that open water in a jon boat is a little intimidating but I immediately headed for the eastern shore of the bay and ran as close to the bank as possible........the sky turned really dark with thunderstorms but we managed to run about halfway out to mouth of bay before the hard rain hit....and fortunately there were docks to shelter under......next to last picture is "Mobile Bay in the rear view mirror"......last picture is my actual GPS track from mouth of Alabama/Tenn-tombigbee river to mouth of bay where i turned east into the intracoastal canal....

Did you come all the way down the Tenn-Tomm waterway?

yes.....I came down the Miss river,turned up the ohio river to the tenn river,came all the way to pickwick lake,turned down the tenn-tombigbee to mobile then took intracoastal to apalachicola then turned up the apalachicola river to lake seminole then took flint river to albany ga....17 days..... 2107 miles...
