Guy at gas station had a late model truck that wouldn’t start. I gave him a jump, closed the hood, jumped back in and the orange wrench See Manual light is on (2018 F-150). How much is this gonna cost me?

Yep, disconnect the battery and then reconnect. FYI, never jump another vehicle with the key on, too much to go wrong on vehicles with all the electronics.

Glad that was all it was, hoping the light doesn't come back on. What happened to you is the very reason I have a portable jump starter in each of my newer vehicles.

Yep, I fried the wiring in a brand new full size (back in the day) Chevy Blazer. The other vehicle had a short in it somewhere and when I jumped it, it fired back in mine. Fried everything.
