Too much fun, I think I fished out of a buddies Chrysler boat once. I was on the Arkansas river in Little Rock, had to be 1978-79 fishing on the back side of a wing dam and a we hear what sounds like a fighter jet coming down the river. This guy rolls up next to us, don't remember the boat, but he had a 115 HP motor, ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN, we were giddy, couldn't believe a guy could have a motor that big on the back of the boat. By the way a guy has bought Pro Gator and is trying to ramp them back up into production, he's been working on it over a year. I think we will see them back in production in the next 6-9 months and I am hoping we are going to get to test fish out of one. Also I remembered one more, Louis Delhomme marine had their own bass boat brand, can't remember what it was called....but it wasn't pretty...

Has anyone said Norris-Craft, last I heard they were still producing bass boats and they don't have much if any of a web presence, nuts in this day and age.

I think they are only built to order? I know they never produced very many per year as they had other projects. I know this, they are a tough hull for sure.
Same thing with Norris

Don't think anyone has said Ballistic yet... They make a fine boat from what I've seen.

Awesome thread!
I saw a couple of guys on Tawak yesterday in one of the original Skeeters that sat one in front of the other. What a trip down memory lane.

The old Skeeter Wranglers would get up on plane and if you hit a wake they would try to swap ends on you!......I witnessed one almost do that. The old school coffin shaped bass boats would pound and compress your vertebrae, and then loosen your fillings if you had any left. If you had any tackle boxes up front, you would get them all re-arranged, along with some busted rod tips.
Just one more cast!

When Mercury went to a V6, they were 175s and they still had the 150 tower of power. Never rode in a boat rougher riding than a Shipp Marine Sidewinder. Indestructible boat, but rough as they come.

Yep they build a heck of a boat and I haven’t totally ruled out owning one. From what I saw it looks like they have been surviving mainly on repair work.
