Just getting into fly fishing, and want a guide for the second week of December. Hoping to catch a few rainbows, but more importantly learn the basics of fly fishing. I know nothing other than I really want a 16” trout, so tell me who to use. Thanks in advice for recommendations.

I haven't had any dealings with them, but Hill Country Flyfishers can probably hook you up with a guide/teacher. Alamo City Flyfishers is a San Antonio-based club that you could also try. Lots of fly guides on the coast. Good luck, IslandJim

Lone Star Fly Fishing! Both Kelli and John are incredible teachers with lots of patience and just great all around! Their address is in New Braunfels.
