I'm too lazy for that. LOL Rod holders, fine wire circle hooks, and wait for him to hook himself.

I always start kids and new fishermen out with minnows as they will catch more than trying to learn with jigs.

I use jigs myself as I'm too lazy to fool with minnows. I seen days when those fishing minnows outfished those with jigs and other days when those with jigs outfished those with minnows.

Personally it doesn't matter which another person decides to use, if I like them, they are welcome on my boat with their minnows. If they outcatch me, I will cut their dead minnows in half and put them on my jigs.
