Got to the lake this morning and cranked up and backed off the trailer and parked the boat, left it running to warm up and pulled the truck out and parked. Got back in the boat and was getting a few things ready and the motor died. Sounded like it ran out of gas. It would not crank again. Fished with the TM only for about 1.5 hours and tried the motor again. It cranked.. Buttoned everything down and took off got on pad and was up to about 40 when it sounded like it ran out of fuel again. Could not crank back up. Went back to the TM and about 2 hours later fired it up and took off again. Same thing. Not sure what is going on anyone got any Ideas?

Thanks

Jody

Do you have a pump bulb? Is it firm or soft? Do you have one fuel tank or two? Could be a fuel tank transfer switch failure. My buddy’s Ranger just failed on him.

Would have to test but sounds like the high pressure electric pump giving up.

Thanks, I have ordered some new fuel filters and will get to do some more testing as soon as they come in. Most the shops can't get to my boat for a week or 2. Really hoping it isn't the fuel pump.

Put in a new filter, replaced the water separator, and replaced the bulb. Still have the same issue. I have taken it into a shop once the figure out what is wrong I will post back.

Thanks

I have friends at the shop and they got my boat in today to trouble shoot it.
1st. One of the 3 things that I did fixed my problem. Not sure if it was the water separator, the bulb, or the new filter. LOL
2nd. When I put the bulb in I neglected to remove the stobs in each end and that was preventing fuel from getting past the new bulb. Well that and I put it on backwards. LOL

Once they put the bulb in correctly the boat is running like it is supposed to again.
