I may have quit drinking and changed my diet for nothing!!! Well can't say for nothing, lost a few pounds and sure feel better but didnt help my gout. Come to find out have a broke bone in my foot. I recall banging my foot a while back but didn't think to much about it.

I kept telling my wife there is something else wrong with my foot. The Dr. that told me I had gout said I think there is something else wrong with your foot, we need to get you to a foot guy. I kept thinking it would get better.

Foot kept bothering me, wouldn't get better, went to a foot dr. yesterday and left with my foot in a soft cast/boot. Xray showed broke bone in bottom of my foot. He said the injury probalby brought on the gout based on my uric acid levels being as low as they are.

So much for bow season, will be in this boot for 8 wks or so. Thinking about an electric bike to ride up to my stand, but not sure how climing a 17 ft ladder stand in this boot will work. For once I may try to be smart and do what the dr. said, which was take it easy on that foot or will will have to operate on it.

At least I got to drink a beer or two last night LOL.

Thanks, Billy

No reason to give up on bow season. The weather isnโ€™t cold enough to worry about the foot getting cold. You could probably slip an Artic Bootie over the vast to keep it clean. You can hunt out if a pop up as previously said.
My dad had two bad legs that required him to use crutches full time and he successfully hunted several bow seasons from a ground blind.
Donโ€™t give up!

I think I'm going to get me an electric bike and ride up to my stand. I think I can climb my ladder stand cast/boot and all.

At least I got all my food plots in and all my tractor work done. I have one feeder that about half full, but I can drive right up to it and fill it.

I just want to get this dang foot healed up, I've been fighting this thing for about two months now. I am going to try to stay off of it as much as I can in the next few weeks.

Thanks, Billy

Foot injuries are some of the hardest to heal. You need to stay almost completely off of it, but who in their right mind wants to do that? Have a friend with a foot injury from April 2019 that still isn't completely healed up.

One thing I did realize about haveing a cast/boot on one foot. I now have a purpose for the socks in my drawer that do not have a match.

Thanks, Billy
