Do Black Salties make good Catfish bait?
Mainly fishing ponds if that helps.
I will have worms and shrimp on me as well, but what about Salties?
Also are they best alive, cut, or both?

Thanks,
Jimmy

They work great. A black salty is basically a dark goldfish. They work live, dead, or as cut bait, depending on the size and species of fish you are after. I like to fish them live, because of the variety of fish you can catch with them. I have caught bass, drum, gar, and catfish with them.

The Lake Worth record blue cat was caught on a black salty.

Thanks for the info, I really appreciate it.
Was looking at channels and blues.
