Just finished recovery from foot surjery and as my grandson would say ''Oweee" . fished yesterday early very cool boatride early 67 degrees. threw out my chum and lowered my Stubbys and Bam. Well we caught fish all day till about 1 and we quit before the fish did. we had one fish over 5 and multiple fish in the 3-4 lb range and all fat channel catfish. Ok someone is feeding my catfish corn but i only feed them range cubes or stubbys. I cleaned 20 nice channel cats and gave them to two fine gentlemen that went along to fish with me. I got this problem: My children live out of state and they call and say Dad what are you dong? Fishing I reply. The next question: Dad who is with you? when i say noone or Jesus I get in trouble. So i try to get folks to go fishing with me because my kids threaten me with assisted living after I had the 5 strokes. My son said Dad I am going to take Guardianship on you and it can be easy or hard? I replied HARD. lol They just don't trust me after the strokes. Details for fishing guys. caught fish in 18 to 38 feet deep and the fish seemed to like the bait about 2 feet off the bottom which is about 1/2 reel trn off bottom on my reel. fish bite was very lite and not really a hard Bam.

Life is to short not to fish. Although my wife fishes with me much of the time, I spend a great deal of time fishing by myself. My emergency medical surgeon told me once that anyone over 50 years old may be 5 minutes from a life ending event. I would much rather go out while fishing than in a medical facility or nursing home. All of my kids know this. I know I will be with Jesus when I go, and he seemed to like fisherman, so I will see a bunch of you there someday.  I wonder what the best bait is in heaven?

We fished fork Saturday and some of our cats had whole soured corn in them when we cleaned them.

Best Bait in Heaven-- FAITH!
Same here on earth for fishin. I use it all the time because my own ability to catch fish don't work to well....
