Anyone know of a decent place to stay near Proctor Lake. I’m not looking for anything fancy.

Decent places to stay on Proctor? Bwahahaha......oh, sorry. You’re serious? JK! Hotels in DeLeon or Comanche are your closest hotels choices. Simply Google “hotels in Comanche or DeLeon” for a list. The lake is a Corp of Engineers lake so no true water front but this AirB&B always looked real nice “on” the lake: https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/1704449?s=67&unique_share_id=9745ebf6-8923-41c5-8eb4-15e41b203bee

Little nicer hotels with more choices on places to eat, Stephenville is just up the road. Increases your drive time to and from the lake, but it's not that far away.
Fished that lake all the time when I went to Tarleton. But never had my boat on the water there. Might just try to do that once Tarleton starts their football season. That way I can get two for one on a trip. Fishing and football banana
