Anytime you find fish tied up, in a basket, Or somehow secured for a cheater to retrieve.... contact local GW so they can set up and catch the cheaters in the act. Ive done that before and unless the GW happens to already be on the lake you will spend hours waiting on him. Not that I wouldn’t want to but sometimes time is not on that side.

My Dad used to tie our basket in the trees to keep coons & snakes from killing our fish. And times our fishing would be missing now I now why ? Just because you find a basket in a tree does not mean somebodies cheating. Leave my trotlines alone also. To trees in the middle of the lake? I am pretty sure doing so and leaving unattended and unmarked is illegal in Texas.

You can be disqualified for not reporting violations. It's the only sport we have the opportunity to police ourselves. Don't be part of the problem by looking the other way.

What I read in that story is that there are some cry babies in that tourney who snitched.
Fishing outside a boundary isnt nearly the same as tied up fish etc.
Outside the boundary could mean to close to the weigh in area, too close to a off limits at the dam etc.

So wait a minute these guys just fished a offlimit area? If that’s the case don’t think that is cheating? If pros do it they are disqualified. Think y’all are getting upset about nothing disqualify them move on good grief.

You may be correct. However, I believe they won the tournament and over $5000. That makes it theft.

This was my line of thinking..... until I read that they had disables their GPS so theu wouldn't leave a track to show where they had been. That's not simply being in off-limits waters - that's straight up cheating.
