I have tried 5 times to log on. I cannot even see balances on BOFA app. Glad I got my sell orders in early.

Crooked Bastards ,

back when I was younger and dumber , they talked me into selling Cisco and buy Boston Chicken and Samsonite. I believe there was a lawsuit over
that deal.

I bet they meant the shares, not the food or the luggage.

I hate those guys. Quite a few years back my ML "advisor" talked me into selling off a bunch of individual stocks and moving the funds into a ML "Preferred" package. Cost me about a third of my $$ until I dropped that thing and kicked ML to the curb. Ever since I have just managed the accounts myself and I'm doing far better than I ever did with them.

Y'all do know there are now apps where you can control your own trading right?

Those "Preferred" funds paid your ML broker quite a bit more. That's why they are "preferred".

I'm not a fan of Merrill or how they operate.

I've been looking into this a buddy of mine is using the Robinhood, he's trying to get me to join it but I'm really uneasy about it.
I've been look at E*Trade, just scared to death I'd screw myself and cost myself alot of money. Trying to do research and figure out what to do
haven't every really been into the stock's but kind of getting to the point in live I need to start doing some other stuff. A whole lot of stuff out there
and it's kind of overwhelming.

Do not use Robinhood for any reason

That's kind of what I've been reading in reviews.

Robinhood's drawback is you can't really get in on premarket and after hours trading. A lot of people use Webull. Which gives you longer trading hours. But I don't trust it because it's mostly Chinese owned. A lot of banks also have it set up so you can trade through them. My bank(U. S. Bank) offers a service with 100 free trades a year. If you're more into investing than trading. Something like that isn't a bad way to go. I have some long term investments, and some swing trades I'm holding. Every now and then I'll waste a day trade. But I reserve those for potential fast gainers. Missed akodak day though Most of what I look for is long term dividend stocks or a longer swing trades.
The hardest part of handling your own trading is research. That and being able to watch your stocks. My job is set up so I'm able to keep an eye on them for the most part. I've been burned a couple times because I was busy. Also when handling your own trades. You can't be skittish. Once you learn the trends it gets easier. I would panic sell when the late morning dump hits. Swing and day traders will sell off around 11 eastern. If you aren't used to it, it can lose you money.
Right now I'm risking a hefty chunk on a couple EV companies. So I haven't been doing much other trading.
I encourage anyone to at least look into WKHS and DPHC(will change to RIDE in Q4) if you're willing to let your money ride for awhile.

There's a lot to learn when handling your own trades. It can be very overwhelming at first. There's days you're walking around like Vince McMahon at WrestleMania and there's days you want to kick a kitten just for being a kitten. But I will still take that over letting a stranger handle my money. If I go broke doing it. I have no one to blame but myself. But so far, I may not be getting rich, but I ain't going broke either. My gains keep gaining. I keep getting better at it.

Several years ago I read a great story on Cisco.
An investment/broker type guy overheard a couple guys at a bar talking about this new tech company that was going to be coming on the market and it was going to go through the roof.
The broker tried and tried to do some research but all he could find was Sysco, the food distributor. Once he figured it out it was too late.

Back in 1984 I could have gotten into Public Storage at the IPO but I didn't think it was that good of an idea. I still kick myself on that one.
